Do you believe William Branham was a prophet?
Do you believe William Branham was a prophet?
No. When this website initially launched, there was a compelling argument that he did have some prophesies, but there were also many failed prophesies. After fully reviewing every prophesy (recorded), we find that there does not seem to be a single actual prophesy. All either failed or were 'prophesied' after the event happened. There are only 3 'self-fulfilled' prophesies that can be found. A fulfilled prophecy does not validate every prophecy, however. Each prophecy must be put the the test, according to the Bible. The Bible does not allow room for even a single failure. If one prophecy fails, we are not to listen to anything that prophet says. Instead, we must look to the Bible, which is always correct. He was said to have been 'the prophet Elijah' because of seven visions of 1933. They can be reviewed in further detail here: http://seekyethetruth.freeforums.org/visions-of-1933-f13.html

Do you believe there were healings in the prayer lines?
Do you believe there were healings in the prayer lines?
Yes.
Many of the day had great and wonderful campaigns, each having the Spirit of the Lord in their meetings as promised: "Wherever two or three are gathered in My Name."
There were many healed in the meetings, but they were healed by God. God honored their faith, and honored His promise to heal the sick. Of course, not all were healed. God has His purpose and His plan in every life.
The "gray" area is where William Branham told the people "And if I could get the people to believe me (believe me), and would be sincere when I [William Branham] prayed, that nothing would stand before the prayer."
God does not call people to believe in the messenger, God calls the messenger to teach others to believe in God. Nor does God tell those "healed" to "keep believing or the sickness will return." There are, however instances where Branham stumbles when the prayer cards are out of order or where names difficult to pronounce are difficult to 'hear from the angel.' These would be the only items of question. Read an eye-witness testimony in the forum: http://seekyethetruth.freeforums.org/alfred-pohl-interview-feb-21-1990-t136.html

Do you believe in the Trinity?
Do you believe in the Trinity?
The way in which the "orthodox" Christians believe the Trinity is not at all the way William Branham described it. Christians do not believe that the Trinity is "chopping god into three parts." They believe that there is one God, and describe God just as Paul did in the New Testament. To a "Message Believer," the word Trinity is synonymous with blasphemy. Therefore we will simply say that we believe God as the Bible describes God. Yet, God is much more majestic, much more amazing, much more wonderful than the words or languages of the world can describe. God is much greater than any description can fulfill.
Jesus of the Old Testament is the God of the New Testament, yet Jesus also sits at the right hand of the Father. The light that Paul saw in the wilderness was Jesus, yet Paul was then filled with the Holy Spirit. The Father sent Jesus to die for us, yet Jesus is "I Am".
This wonderful God can not be "lessened" by saying that he was only Jesus, when Jesus sits at the right-hand of the Father. God has no man-made explanation: He is God!
We should not even try to debate God, we should instead worship Him in his majesty!

Do you believe all the prophecies came true?
Do you believe all the prophecies came true?
No.
Marilyn Monroe did not die of a heart attack while running and clutching her chest. There was a dispute to whether or not she committed suicide, just as Branham claimed after she died, but the cause of death has never been disputed. She died of "acute barbituate poisoning" while lying naked on her bed.
Franklin D Roosevelt did not cause World War II, and did not end up a dictator. Mussolini did not have his last stand in Ethiopia. The Siegfried Line was built long before Branham "prophesied" the "first concrete poured."
William Branham said himself that he could see nothing past 1977. All visions and prophecies were to have taken place before 1977, because he could see nothing past it. Yet self-navigated cars are not predominately driving on the road, cars are not shaped like eggs, Russia has not dropped a nuclear bomb on Rome, Rome has not destroyed communism, and sharks are not swimming where Billy Paul was standing in Los Angeles. Women or the Catholic Church did not rule the United States before 1977 or to this day.
India was not a great revival where "hundreds times thousands" were saved. In his own words, William Branham was all but kicked out of the country. Since every prophecy was prophesied after the event happened (except three), the real question becomes: was there a single prophecy? Do you believe followers of William Branham are saved?
Do you believe followers of William Branham are saved?
Yes, of course. Those who believe in Jesus Christ and have not turned to the idol worship that has befallen many Message Believers who mistakenly believe that you can only get to Jesus Christ through William Branham.
Within every church around the world, there are people who have accepted the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ into their lives, and believe on Him. This, according to Paul, is the key to salvation.
Within the followers of William Branham are true brothers and sisters in Christ, who trust the Lord with their whole heart and soul. Also within the followers are greedy, money hungry, uncharitable people who do not show the fruits of the spirit. Those who would shun another brother or sister in Christ for not believing in a man while they put their faith in Jesus Christ have turned to idolatry. Those poor souls need to learn more about Christ. If your spiritual growth stopped with the last sermon of William Branham and you do not seek daily improvement through the Bible, then my friend, you are lost.

Do you believe that WIlliam Branham had discernment?
Do you believe that WIlliam Branham had discernment?
No. William Branham had a gift of knowing the people's names, addresses, and other items written on the prayer cards. We truly believe that he could do this through some extra-ordinary means. This is not the gift of discernment, however. Mind reading and soul gazing are practices of the occult, while the spiritual gift of discernment is described quite differently in the Bible. We have to ask ourselves: why were the people in the prayer lines asked to write their names and addresses? Why not just give them a number?

Do you believe WIlliam Branham had divine revelation?
Do you believe WIlliam Branham had divine revelation?
No. After reading the texts that were beginning to be translated into English during the time of William Branham's ministry, it is plain to see that the extra-Biblical knowledge came from Gnostic texts, "Dead Sea Scrolls", writings by Clarence Larkin", Josephus, and others. The "revelation" of the Seven Church Ages" was copied from a book by Clarence Larkin that was written many years before, and the dates for those "Church Ages" were copied from the books. One of the "Church Age Messengers" for their "Church Age" was dead long before his "Church Age" even started. The Book of Enoch contains many of the "revelations" about Enoch and Noah. The "Gospel of Judas" and other Gnostic texts have the "revelations" about Serpent's Seed, and the "Jesus Only" explanation of God. Check out the 'Thinking Man's Filter' sermon that he copied from Billy Graham: http://seekyethetruth.freeforums.org/smoking-man-s-filter-t71.html

Do you believe that you must be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ to receive the Holy Ghost?
Do you believe that you must be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ to receive the Holy Ghost?
No.
Baptism is an outward display of commitment to Jesus Christ. God does not look on the outward man, he looks on the inside.
During the time of Paul and Peter, many were filled with the Holy Ghost before they were baptized. Because of their filling with the Holy Ghost, they were told that they should be baptized.
If we take the stand that specific words must be spoken, we have essentially turned baptism into enchantment.

Do you believe that Los Angeles will sink under the ocean?
Do you believe that Los Angeles will sink under the ocean?
Yes. Scientists have known for years that the mass under Los Angeles is unstable. It is described as "honeycomb", porous and very brittle. It also sits on the other side of one of the greatest fault lines in the world. I do not believe this was an accurate vision by William Branham, because this vision described it would be under the sea, "just as Capernaum is under the sea." Capernaum has never been under the sea, and is a Biblical tourist attraction to this day.

Do you believe WIlliam Branham was commissioned by an angel?
Do you believe WIlliam Branham was commissioned by an angel?
No. In a religious tract prior to his first set of healing campaigns, it is clear that William Branham was already famous for his successful healing ministry. In that brochure, he described his commission as coming to him as a vision with several white robed people. When the stories are retold as an angelic visitation, the location was described as a cabin with a wood floor, wood stove, and a window. It was also described as a cave, or a boy scout camp site where William Branham was the camp master. The angel was described as a Mexican, Middle-Easterner with a turban, and more. This event would not be something easily forgotten, especially since it was the foundation of his ministry. The details would be very clear and concise. Do you believe William Branham was born under a sign?
Do you believe William Branham was born under a sign?
No. Prior to his visit with the fortune teller, Willam Branham said that his birth year was 1908, which is confirmed by the US Census. He said that his mother was sixteen when he was born, which would put him at 1907. The fortune teller said he was born under a sign in 1909, which he would adopt and use throughout the rest of his ministry. Check out what he wrote on his marriage license (under 'Government Records'): http://www.seekyethetruth.com/Home/Default.aspx?organizationid=57&PageId=891&static=true

Do you believe William Branham was always truthful?
Do you believe William Branham was always truthful?
No. I believe he used examples that were not true in order to increase the faith and devotion of his followers. In an account given for a man in Windsor, Ontario who questioned his divine healing, William Branham said that he "fell paralyzed", "ran screaming", "died six weeks after", "still in serious condition (years after)", "still paralyzed", and "died of cancer". These accounts were given to increase the faith of the followers, but clearly contradict each other. Not all can be true. Some of the retellings of the story were only a few months apart. If such a dreadful event happened, true men of God would be mortified that such a terrible thing had happened in their ministry, and they would certainly remember what happened. This is a hot topic in the forum: http://seekyethetruth.freeforums.org/wmb-credibility-issues-f9.html

Do you believe William Branham said only what was in the Bible?
Do you believe William Branham said only what was in the Bible?
No. In his description of the original translation of Matthew 3:17, William Branham added the words "to dwell in." This had to be added to the scriptures in order to support his "Jesus Only" doctrines. The original text does not include these words, nor does any translation of the Bible from William Branham's time to this day. He consistently used a portion of Matthew 24:24, saying "the two would be so close that it would deceive the very elect," twisting the meaning of the scripture.
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. (Matt 24:24)
The meaning of this scripture speaks of false prophets, and did not contain any hint of the meaning that William Branham applied to this scripture. This is a topic that is being examined in the forum: http://seekyethetruth.freeforums.org/bible-stories-or-fables-t158.html

Will Children Born Out of Wedlock Make the Rapture?
Will Children Born Out of Wedlock Make the Rapture?
Of course! Those who have accepted their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. According to Paul, we all can be saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. The children will not be punished for the sins of the fathers. William Branham used the scriptures that are under the old covenants, saying they will be punished for generations, but left out the rest of the verse that said "of them that hate me."On William Branham's mother's side, Nancy Branham bore Lewis Riley Branham out of wedlock. She later married Thomas L. Wisdom. On William Branham's father's side, Nancy‘s Brother George W. Branham was WMB‘s Grandfather. William Branham himself was descended from illegitimate birth for less than five generations.

Was the Supernatural Cloud in Arizona the Seven Angels?
Was the Supernatural Cloud in Arizona the Seven Angels?
No. William Branham saw five angels in the vision that told him to head to the wilderness. In the sermons after his visit to Sunset mountain, he described seven angels, and a mist that appeared on the ground. The angels were in a constellation in his accounts of the experience until after the photograph appeared in the magazines. There are several messages recorded on tape between his trip to Sunset mountain and the magazine, and his description of the seven angels does not match the cloud. When the cloud appeared, William Branham was in Houston, TX preaching -- not at Sunset Mountain. The preliminary report from Vandenburg AFB describes that "further investigation is needed," and this is the report used to substantiate the claims. The final report concludes that the cloud was a THOR missile detonation, and gives the exact data to track the coordinates, direction, and time of day of each location of the cloud. None of them match William Branham's location, time, or description of the event, nor was he there during this THOR missile detonation. For more information, see this book.

Was William Branham's Book, "Exposition of the Seven Church Ages" Divine Revelation?
Was William Branham's Book, "Exposition of the Seven Church Ages" Divine Revelation?
No. Not only is this book historically inaccurate, it is plagiarized from a set of books by Clarence Larkin. A great deal of the content came from "The Book of Revelation" by Larkin, which was published when William Branham was about ten years old. Most of the concepts of this "revelation" came directly from Larkin's books. The content that came from Larkin seems to be historically accurate, but the content added by William Branham is not historically accurate. William Branham went so far as to copy some of the text word-for-word without making reference. Is the Photograph of the Pillar of Fire in the Religious Hall of Art and Verified By The Head of the FBI?
Is the Photograph of the Pillar of Fire in the Religious Hall of Art and Verified By The Head of the FBI?
No. There has never been a "Religious Hall of Art", and the photograph supposedly sits in a drawer in the archives of the Smithsonian. (The same place that contains documents about Joseph Smith). There has never been a head of the FBI named George Lacy, or even George. George J. Lacy was a freelance examiner of questioned documents in Houston, and was sometimes used by the local police and government. Gordon Lindsay hired Lacy for his services, and he produced a document that confirmed the photograph was not doctored. His report did not state that the photograph was supernatural, and did not state that the light that struck the lens was out-of-the-ordinary. He simply said that a light had struck the lens.

Is the Message a cult?
Is the Message a cult?
Since some of the followers of William Branham claim they have no organization, and follow no leading other than William Branham, this word can only be used for those who "make it a cult." Others, claim to have organization with the headquarters, and seem to walk the line. I cannot speak of the group as a whole, but I can speak to my own experience, using the "ten warning signs of a cult" (below). Having been publicly "shunned" by the paster in the local church in Jeffersonville, IN, I can assure you that it has became a cult. - Absolute authoritarianism without meaningful accountability. My pastor has stated for years that everything William Branham spoke about the Bible was infallible, without producing accountability towards the things that strongly differed from the Bible when asked.
- No tolerance for questions or critical inquiry. I was strongly reprimanded with "Who are YOU to question a prophet?", and raised with the commission, "If you have a question about it, don't do it."
- No meaningful financial disclosure regarding budget, expenses such as an independently audited financial statement. I was shocked when I found that the financial statement for the "organization" was online, and especially when I saw the amount of money that flowed through the "organization". My heart is burdened for the poor, who can barely make ends meet when I think of this.
- Unreasonable fear about the outside world, such as impending catastrophe, evil conspiracies and persecutions. William Branham himself said that any person who had joined another denomination had taken "the mark of the beast." Those souls would rot in hell. He even "invented" an extra-Biblical "foolish virgin" doctrine that stated these "foolish virgins" would suffer the tribulation.
- There is no legitimate reason to leave, former followers are always wrong in leaving, negative or even evil. I was accused of having lost my mind and taken an evil spirit for believing the Bible over William Branham. Some of the elders having evil spirits of their own even accused me of being homosexual, to scare others away.
- Former members often relate the same stories of abuse and reflect a similar pattern of grievances. People are starting to "come out of the woodwork", contacting me to give me their similar experiences. I was told by an ex-follower play-by-play what would happen to me as I came out of the Message. Every single warning was fulfilled.
- There are records, books, news articles, or television programs that document the abuses of the group/leader. Still under investigation. There are some troubling accusations coming out of South Africa as well as parts of America and Canada.
- Followers feel they can never be "good enough". I felt this way for many years, and have been contacted by others who are still in the Message, struggling with this feeling of insecurity.
- The group/leader is always right. I was raised to believe that every word spoken by William Branham was infallible, even if it was spoken to a person in private.
- The group/leader is the exclusive means of knowing "truth" or receiving validation, no other process of discovery is really acceptable or credible. To anyone who has studied the Message, this one does not even need answered.

Do you believe William Branham was given two signs from God, as Moses was given two signs?
Do you believe William Branham was given two signs from God, as Moses was given two signs?
No. This "angel" that gave William Branham his "two signs" had evidently not read the scriptures. Moses was given three signs before his message of "Let My People Go" went forth. - Staff would turn to snake
- Hand would turn white with leprosy
- Water would turn to blood
If William Branham had been given signs from God, the angel would surely know how many signs were given to Moses.

Do you believe any parts of William Branham's ministry are hid from the public?
Do you believe any parts of William Branham's ministry are hid from the public?
Yes.
The infamous Jim Jones of the People's Temple -- the one that killed his congregation with poisoned drink -- started the Peoples Temple in Indianapolis, IN.
To help spread his fame, Jones held a joint campaign with William Branham at a large auditorium in Indianapolis. Around eleven thousand people attended the meetings.
Together, Jones and William Branham had prayer lines with discernment and healing.
The event was to be June 11-15 1956. Jones was given a spot in the "Herald of Faith" for the event, according to the article. WMB was there for three services, but on the current version of the tapes, Jones' name is never mentioned.
On the first night, when the prayer line starts, there are a few [blank spot on tape - ed].
On the second night, when he starts out, there are few [blank spot on tape -ed]
On the third night, [a brother welcomes Brother Branham -ed], and then scattered through the prayer lines are several [blank spot on tape -ed].
Jones was completely cut out of the tape, to the point that one would never know he was there unless researching the timelines of the two ministers.

Do you believe William Branham's stories about his childhood are true?
Do you believe William Branham's stories about his childhood are true?
No. Using William Branham's own words, they cannot be true. William Branham stated he was of Irish Roman Catholic ancestry and his forebears had come from Dublin, Ireland. His parents supposedly were Roman Catholic and rarely attended church. In other accounts, he states that he was raised in a Baptist church, rocked in a Baptist cradle, and dedicated in a Baptist church. His own grandfather had built a church. In some accounts, he was poor and rejected at age sixteen, while in other accounts, he had a brand-new automobile. There are many, many other issues. Are the documents and books available to the public authentic?
Are the documents and books available to the public authentic?
No. The original book version of the book "A Man Sent From God" by Gordon Lindsay is substantially modified from its current version. The original version did not include the presence of the angel, or astonished parents watching the pillar of fire. It was, for the most part, a normal birth story for a normal family.

Do you believe that William Branham strayed from the truth?
Do you believe that William Branham strayed from the truth?
Yes.
The same woman that spoke in tongues saying that "as John the Baptist was sent as a forerunner of the Lord’s first coming, so was He sending forth this evangelist and others like him to move the people and prepare them for His second coming." also predicted his death over a year before it happened.
The prophecy stated that the leader of the deliverance movement was soon to be taken in death because he was getting into error, and the Lord was having to remove him from the scene for that reason.
This was confirmed by Gordon Lindsay, according to his wife, Freda Lindsay. It was also confirmed by Kenneth Hagin.
This prophecy was verified scripturally, in the mouth of two or three witnesses. Compare some of his Bible teachings with the scriptures in the Forums here: http://seekyethetruth.freeforums.org/bible-stories-or-fables-t158.htmland here: http://seekyethetruth.freeforums.org/jesus-had-to-see-visions-like-wmb-before-acting-t159.html

Do you believe the Zodiac and the Pyramids were the "Bibles" of the old days? as William Branham claimed?
Do you believe the Zodiac and the Pyramids were the "Bibles" of the old days? as William Branham claimed?
No. The Bible says, "And beware not to lift up your eyes to heaven and see the sun and the moon and the stars, all the host of heaven, and be drawn away and worship them and serve them, those which the LORD your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven." Only the Gnostics worshipped the stars and ancient wonders.

Do you believe that because we are saved by grace, we should not obey the law?
Do you believe that because we are saved by grace, we should not obey the law?
No. I believe the law is not required for salvation, but those who accept Jesus Christ will be changed by God. This transformation will remove the sinful things from our lives, and make us want to be more like Him. I do believe, however, that some of the laws were for another generation or culture. I believe if our hearts condemn us, we should change our ways.

Do you think people should leave the Message?
Do you think people should leave the Message?
No. I think people should do what is in their hearts. If God is telling you to leave, leave! If God is telling you to stay, stay! Those who stay can help others to see that Paul taught a message of love, not of fear and doubt. Those who leave can find peace and contentment in a Holy Ghost filled, Bible believing church!

Do you think it is wrong to punish children for listening to excessively long sermons?
Do you think it is wrong to punish children for listening to excessively long sermons?
Yes. The mind of the child has not progressed enough to understand at an adult level. Some say that five minutes for a child is like an hour to an adult. If we do the math, that would be like making an adult sit through a thirty hour sermon instead of a two and a half hour sermon! Children need to be taught in an age appropriate way, and to punish them for a long-winded preacher is not Biblical.
|
Do you think William Branham taught a message of love, like Paul did?
Do you think William Branham taught a message of love, like Paul did?
Yes. In the beginning of his ministry, he was against the denominations that separated themselves from other denominations, saying that we have no denomination but Christ. He said that if they draw you out of their circle, "draw a bigger circle to draw them in." All men and women in denominations were children of God, brothers and sisters in Christ. Towards the end of his ministry, he became bitter. All who joined a denomination had taken "the mark of the beast", and the preaching turned violently towards women who did not wear holiness clothing, makeup, etc.

I have a friend that was not living a holy life, and he was "shunned." He is now atheist. Is that wrong?
I have a friend that was not living a holy life, and he was "shunned." He is now atheist. Is that wrong?
Yes. Paul identifies the need for "disfellowship," and the goal is to win souls to Christ using this as punishment, not to drive people away from Christ altogether. There are also very terrible offenses that the accused must have done before this punishment is used, and these are punishments that make the flock safer by removing the offender. A good example is a man who is defiling the women of the church; you remove the man to protect the women. A pastor who is driving souls away from Christ should step down. He is in grave danger according to Luke: It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. (Luke 17:2)

My child does not wear holiness clothing during sporting activities. Is that wrong?
My child does not wear holiness clothing during sporting activities. Is that wrong?
No. Unless your heart condemns you for it. Some parents do not allow their children to wear shorts during sports or other events, forgetting that David himself danced naked. I do not believe that even William Branham himself had this teaching, especially since there is a photo of him taken in South Africa wearing shorts.

Yes. William Branham was with Jones when he started the Peoples' Temple, and was involved at various times throughout. We do not know for sure if William Branham got the name "The Message" from Jones, or if Jones got the name "The Message" from William Branham.
In a letter to Bro. Jackson, Jones defended the Message: http://jonestown.sdsu.edu/AboutJonestown/PrimarySources/vol14pp87.91_earl.pdf

Is it wrong to attend another church when it is difficult to attend a Message church?
Is it wrong to attend another church when it is difficult to attend a Message church?
Absolutely not. In the early parts of William Branham's ministry, he taught this himself. There is no worry or fear of being "indoctrinated", because outside churches mostly preach love an patience as was taught in Paul's ministry. Almost all churches are against "indoctrination", and do not require that you join their church to sit and listen. If you are a true child of God, you will be able to get joy in the things that you know are correct, and "spit out the seed" when your heart tells you that something said is not quite right. Paul did not fellowship to the saints, he went to the sinners.

What was on the prayer cards, and why were they needed?
What was on the prayer cards, and why were they needed?
Nobody knows why they were needed, although there is a great deal of speculation. There were no prayer cards in the bible days, and prayer lines could be organized in much better ways than a piece of paper having a number on it.
The prayer cards had an alpha-numeric identifier that would be called in order. Before they were handed in, the sick and afflicted would be asked to write their name and address on the front of the card, and their sickness on the back of the card.

Yes. According to Lee Vayle ( http://messagedoctrine.com/leevayle/view/sermon/godhead/12godhead/en ), William Branham knew all about it long before the bad things started happening. Though William Branham would describe Gene and Leo as true man of God in their little group that was "up there waiting on the coming of the Lord" from 1955 through 1965, he knew. There are other unverified accounts from similar cases in other churches coming forth, as well as a more detailed account of what happened at "The Park", but will not be posted until there are some factual evidence to support the claims.

Do the problems you mention in your book, such as depression, happen outside the Message?
Do the problems you mention in your book, such as depression, happen outside the Message?
Yes. Depression is a disease that is hereditary, and a large portion of the population has it. The difference is that it is strongly worsened by suppressing emotions or fears, such as questions affecting your life that are left unanswered. Pastors who are aware of the conditions will try to help those suffering with the disease, and peer groups will quickly detect it long before it consumes the victim. If you feel you may have symptoms, please seek help. For more information, visit http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0001941/

If I question William Branham, will I die?
If I question William Branham, will I die?
No. The Bible tells us to test the prophecies. If the prophet speaks a prophecy that was not given from God, that prophet will die.
Do not despise prophecies, but test everything; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil.
1 Thessalonians 5:20-22
But the prophet who shall speak a word presumptuously in My name which I have not commanded him to speak, or which he shall speak in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die. And you may say in your heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD has not spoken? When a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not come about or come true, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.
Deuteronomy. 18:20-22

Do you think everything on your site is 100% accurate?
Do you think everything on your site is 100% accurate?
No. I make mistakes. Search these things out for yourselves. If it is wrong, I am still your brother in Christ. If it is right, I am still your brother in Christ. To all things, give God the glory, in our mistakes, God is made more perfect.

Could some of the doctrines we have today come from the followers and not William Branham?
Could some of the doctrines we have today come from the followers and not William Branham?
Yes. All doctrine that exists today should be searched with prayer and be compared to the recordings. Then, in prayer these doctrines should be compared to the Bible for the final answer. Do not take my word for it, or anyone else's word for it. Take God's word for it.

Did Jim Jones ever attend William Branham's meetings?
Did Jim Jones ever attend William Branham's meetings?
Yes. Happy to see today as our host pastor Brother James Jones, from Indianapolis, back there. So happy, and the brother from Spindale, also. Brother Winston Hare from California... I believe just as looking, I seen Brother Sothmann here with last from--from up in Canada, where we just had the great meeting up there. And many other friends, that's just come... It certainly is a privilege today to speak to such a host of people, who I--I'm expecting to live an eternity with in glory. And have the privilege today to be standing to speak to you and fellowship with you around the Word of God... And it certainly is a privilege to do this. 56-1002A FATHER.THE.HOUR.HAS.COME_ CHICAGO.IL TUESDAY_ E-2

Won't the two churches be so close in the end time that they would "deceive the very elect if possible?"
Won't the two churches be so close in the end time that they would "deceive the very elect if possible?"
No. In the beginning of William Branham's ministry he had it correct, but in the end of his ministry he referred to this scripture leading the people to believe that it would be organized churches. The bible does not warn us against churches, it warns us against prophets and men worshipped by other men: For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; so that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Matthew 24:24

Are you attacking the Message of William Branham with the "Thought for the Day?"
Are you attacking the Message of William Branham with the "Thought for the Day?"
No. The chapter in the Bible given at the top of the "Thought for the Day" is taken directly from the scriptures without attempting to add any "sub-thoughts." The "thought" is written from the words of the Bible, and for the most part is in the same sentence arrangement. Questions are added to the end that relate to the verses within the chapter. If you have a question about it, please read the Bible along with the "Thought for the Day," and if any portion of the words of this website differ from the Bible, use the Bible as the correction and please let us know so that we can update for correction.

Are you doing this for money?
Are you doing this for money?
No. My book is free online. It would also be free in the Kindle store if Amazon allowed it -- they don't so it is available for only $0.99. I do this for those who are suffering. I do this for all that are oppressed. I do this for all that have questions that their pastors are unwilling to answer. Most of all: I do this for my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He died for us, rose again, and all who believe on Him will be saved. To God be the glory, and to the poor be the money.

Do you believe all declared healed by William Branham were healed?
Do you believe all declared healed by William Branham were healed?
No. There have been some we all held dear to our hearts declared healed, that they would one day walk again. We've all watched them sit in their wheelchairs until the day of their death, and watched the preachers say, "I don't understand it, but God does!" In an interview, one that was close to William Branham in the meetings explains this. Read it here.

Did William Branham teach the Trinity and then change his mind?
Did William Branham teach the Trinity and then change his mind?
Yes.
"God is from above. He's writing the zodiac in the sky. Zodiac starts with the Virgin, the first coming of Christ, ends up with the Leo, the Lion, the second coming. And He's writing His first Bible. There's three of them.
One of them was written in the skies, one in the pyramids, one on this. Everything in God is in a trinity, like a man's in a trinity. All right."

Why was "Mike" hidden in the darkness in the interview?
As a businessman, "Mike" did not want prospects and clients to know that he was gullible enough to believe some of the far-fetched fabrications made by William Branham that have been proven to be false.

DId William Branham Study The Occult?
DId William Branham Study The Occult?
That is a touchy subject that I will leave unanswered. I will say that William Branham studied versions of the bible that included Gnosticism, which has been linked to the occult. Most followers would be shocked to find that they have been taught Gnostic teachings, but William Branham taught from the Lamsa Bible and believed what it said. Let us read both the King James version and the translation by Dr. Lamsa. To our gratification we find the words in both amazingly the same so that there is no difference actually in content or doctrine.

What was your biggest shock after you started researching the Message?
What was your biggest shock after you started researching the Message?
The thing that strikes not only myself as unbelievable, but everyone else I've spoken with who've started researching is this:
That nobody questioned anything! The congregation assumes the pastors have researched. The pastors assumed that there was nothing to question. The elders promote a non-questioning atmosphere to avoid question.
If a man walked up to me on the street and said that he prophesied the fall of the World Trade Center eleven years before it happened, I'd ask for physical, written evidence that the prophecy was given and not rely on his word years later!
If he walked up to me and said he was underneath a strange cloud that was photographed in a magazine, I'd at least check to make sure that he was in the same state at the time it happened!
If a Reader's Digest article was written about a miraculous healing that saved the life of a dying young boy, I'd read the article to see what it said!
It was quite a shock to find out that I did not question because my father believed. He did not question because his father believed. And his father knew about the conflicts in the stories and preaches not to question!
Let God be true and every man a liar.
